Unable to group by date in pivot table

    Hi,

I have a table with a column of dates in, I have another column which uses a formula to add 2 working days onto the date in the first column. I want to do pivot tables on these columns which is fine and I can do that. the issue is I can group the dates form the first column in a pivot eve though there are blanks in the cells, but I cannot do the same for the 2nd column - no errors in the dates as they are the result of formulas and the same blank cells as the original column. I have tried to use the if true value to add in false date to make it work but can't get it to? Any thoughts as it is driving me mad! Example data attached with the two pivots set up, one grouped one not.

    Thanks J

A cell with a formula returning "" is not the same as a blank cell. It's text, and that's what stops your dates from grouping.

You'll have to amend your formula to return 0 rather than "" and then filter out those dates.
