Re: Creating a graph to show correlation

There isn't very much to go on based on your data and very limited description. What kind of chart/graph do you want? Are you familiar with the basic mechanics of creating a chart in Excel? Anything else to help us understand what you want your graphs to communicate?

At this point, all I can confidently suggest is to go through the basic mechanics of creating a chart/graph. For a quick chart, I can:

    1) Select D4:H6
    2) Insert chart -> clustered column (which is the default my version chose).
    3) If needed, open up the "Select Data" dialog and switch row/column (if necessary), and check that Excel is using row 6 for the values and row 4 for the categories. Delete the row 5 data series.

That should create a basic column chart showing quartile 1 numbers for the events fixture as they trend from year to year.

Any other chart/graph would follow the same basic procedure to create the graph. A lot of times, I find that most of the effort in creating graphs is figuring out how to arrange the data in the spreadsheet. Before I can start arranging data in the spreadsheet, I usually have to think about what I want the graph to show (what are the categories/x axis data? what are the vertical/y axis values? what chart type do I want? etc.).

It is often valuable to recognize that best data arrangement for creating a graph may not be the same arrangement as the table I want to show. In those cases, I often want two tables of data in the spreadsheet -- one table that the audience can look at, and another that the graph can look at.

If your question is mostly about the mechanics of creating a chart, that should help understand the basic mechanics of creating a graph in Excel. I suspect that there will be a lot more to this question as we dig deeper. In that case, I think we need a much more detailed idea of what you want the graph to look like before we can help create the graph.
