Create an calculated Item/ field on pivot chart

    Hi everyone,

I'm sorry my english is not very good cause I'm french.
I can't find any solution to my problem on french and english forums. Not sure there is a solution then.

Here is the thing ; I've created a pivot chart without using a pivot table. To those who don't know how to do (cause it seems not many people do it) you just have to click the last sentence at the bottom of the window that appears when you create a new pivot chart. Thus you don't have a pivot table for any single pivot chart you create. This is very useful for presentations.

My problem is that, using this way, I'm enable to create a calculated Item or calculated Field in my pivot chart...

Does anyone on this earth knows if it's possible ?
I've put an attachement so you can see it's impossible do what I want from my pivot chart.

Thank you very much for your time.

Cool Re: Create an calculated Item/ field on pivot chart

    1. Power Pivot tab - Manage (Data model section) - create measure using DAX
    alternatively
    2. create chart with pivot table, do what you need next right click on your chart (present), choose Move Chart - New Sheet then hide sheet with your Pivot

Re: Create an calculated Item/ field on pivot chart

Thank you very much for your help and sorry for answering late.

My aim was to creat charts without hiding pivot table.

But unfortunately it's seems there is no other way to be able to create a calculated field/ calculated item.

    Thanks again to all
    Have a good day
