Extra axis labels in logarithmic chart

I am trying to add additional vertical axis labels to a logarithmic chart (Excel365).

My data goes from 6900 to 7600. I would like to add 6900, 7000, 7100, 7200 etc as additional axis labels.

The issue is that I have the horizontal axis set as a text axis, and not a date axis, as I have two data points per each date which must be depicted separately (not on the same label/tick mark).

As a result, creating a dummy series of new vertical axis labels with the corresponding y-value set to 0-minimum will not work per other solutions I have seen.

    See attached spreadsheet.

Use a scatterplot (point XY) as your "fake labels" series drawn in secondary axes.
Then set X values as (for instance) 0 in Data sheet.
Show on the graph also secondary horizontal axis (in graph formatting ribbon).
In attached file I left secondary horizontal axis labels visible (red color). You can either swithc them off in formatting as "no labels" label position, or you can just format it as white font color
Also change red color of line for cross markers used in "fake data series" to black.

Of course looking at the 6900-7600 range the log axis is not very different from linear at first sight, but after a bit closer examination, especially with outer parts - it is changing

    SOLVED!

Thank you Kaper. I tried your instructions with another multi-decade chart and they worked perfectly.
