Waterfall is missing out last row unless I select the row below it too.

I've not used waterfall charts in a while, but I'm experiencing an odd bit of behaviour where I can't include the total row of my table:

If I extend the selection to the blank row below, it then includes it:

Can anyone shed any light on why this is? Feel like I'm missing something pretty obvious!

The chart is automatically ignoring the built in Total row of the table.

Either create the total row yourself with formula, or generate another set of data for the chart based on contents of table.

Is that expected behaviour? Seems odd to ignore the very thing the chart is designed to leverage.

I've tried with new data on new workbooks with the same result. When not in a table it works as expected.

It would appear to be expected behaviour.

The number of people building a waterfall chart off of a table with a total column is probably quite small compared to users with other chart type where the total row would NOT be required.
One of those choices that is going to upset some regardless.
