I have a new version of Excel. I would like to be able to access recently
used files. I have gone to the tools/options/general tab to click the Recent
Document box. However, the box is grayed out and I cannot access. Can
someone help? Thanks.

The information in the following MSKB article may help:
OFFXP: "Most Recently Used" List Missing from File Menu and "Recently
Used File List" Option Unavailable
