Pivot Chart problem

I sent a pivot chart to another person, and he says he does not see the dropdown box in the upper left corner. He is working on a Mac. Is there something I can suggest to him? Thank you!

If you have sent him the chart (along with its data ..., i.e. not just a screen capture of your chart), may be a pivot table refresh would help ...

He just got back to me, and he said the options on his Pivot Table toolbar are grayed out -- he can see the refresh button, but unable to use it. I sent him the complete file, data included -- any ideas? Thanks for the help!
