chart only include cells with numbers

I am made a spread sheet where it is possible to make 2000 entries. But it can be used for a lot less too. So when I make a chart I would like it to only include the cells where numbers have been typed in. Now it includes all the cells and if you have only made 50 entries the chart contains a small area at the beginning with information and the rest is empty.
So I would like it to only include the cells that have numbers in them. Is this possible and how?
