    Chart's with missing numbers

    Hi,

I have a chart that contains 3 graphs..

Two of them have number for shares... the third one are missing quite a few numbers.. How can I get the chart not to plot 0 where the cell is empty...

Is there no way to get the graph to not plot zero values on the graph?

Maybe something like this will help:

It recommends using IF and NA() to get rid of zeros. Worth a shot.

    Hi,

Paul's post points you to one of the charting experts, however that thread is for a scatter chart and I did not see that you mentioned a chart Type.

Excel treats 'missing' differently according to chart type, for Line charts the Tools, Options, Charts, 'Interpolated' will continue the line from the point before to the point after, ignoring the missing item. For scatter charts and bar charts a gap is left.

As Jon and Paul mentioned, you can use 'If' to generate '#N/A' and Conditional Formatting to hide any generated #N/A used for the blanks in the chart, but the success here is dependant on your chart type.
