Automate dropdown selection

I have a drop down list in one of the excel templates that I created. Dropdown list has 750 entries to select. It is very difficult for users to go thru 750 entries in the dropdown list manually and select the entry they wanted.

Is there any way to automate this selection process, say by typing the first few characters, so that it will automatically go to that line, where the first occurance of that character? How can I do this? thru' VBA?

I followed the instruction on the link, but still having some trouble getting the dropdown entries work. If I post my sample file, is it possible for someone to take a look at the file and help me find out a solution?
