How do I fill the up/down bars areas with solid color

Hi, I'm making a Line chart in excel with two columns of values. I want to visually compare the two lines and it works great wit up/down bars except for the fact that I want the whole area between the lines filled, not just the bars. The final result I'm trying to achieve should look roughly like this chart (I made this in Paint using the fill bucket ):

    Thanks in advance!

If I'm interpreting your question correctly, you have chart points which are outlined but do not have a fill colour. You should be able to fill in the points by double clicking on any one of them and adding a fill colour in the formatting dialog box.

If I have misunderstood, perhaps you could zip a copy of your workbook and attach it so we can better understand exactly what you are working with.

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

    Thank you for the answer!
    Here's the chart:

The chart is on sheet 2, the data is on sheet 1. You can see the up/down bars colored in red and blue on the chart (the thick bars). I want to fill the areas around the bars so that it looks like the picture from the link in my previous post. Thank again!

The only difference I can see is that the red segments on your chart have a fill colour that is darker than their outline. If this is what you are trying to achieve, the same principle applies. Double click on any one of the red segments and set the border and fill effects colours to the shades you desire.
