    Trouble Sorting Data

Hi, I'm having difficulties sorting this data. I want to sort the data by column Z, yet every time I click to sort the data it won't reorder. I am also worried that when I click to sort the data it will only sort that row and not keep the information specific to each row. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

I tried that and the data still wont sort. Does the fact the the column is made up of equations have anything to do with the fact that its not sorting.

    Hello there,

Is it possible you could provide a zipped sample of your spreadsheet (if its not sensitive data) and I’ll have a look to see if I can spot what the problem is?

To post a zipped example, go to “My Documents” or wherever you have your file stored, right-click and “Send to > Compressed file”, then attach this zipped file to your post.

Try this, select A4:AA249 then go to Data > Sort and sort by column Z, this will sort all rows but keep the data in the relevent row

When you do that does every row get sorted. For me often some rows are not sorted while the majority of them end up being sorted the way I want. Just wondering why some cells are sorted and others arent.

Yes every row gets sorted, may be you have the same data in some cell, so you "think" those cells haven't been sorted, but really they have.
