    Bar/Column Charts in Excel 2003

Hello, newbie to this forum, and I hope someone can help me with a dilema I have.

For a degree project, I was ackes to do a simple bar chart for some values I was given, here are the values I had:

Anyway, in Excel 98 (the last Excel I had) it was pretty easy to create a bar chart, just by highlighting and going through the chart wizard, it automatically plotted everything I needed, however - I am having a lot of trouble getting it to work how I want it to on Excel 2003.

I want the 'Quality Setting' values to be the x-axis values, and the 'Fix Size' values to be the y-axis values, but for some reason - Excel is giving me this type of chart:

I don't want to compare the two values I have there, why is it doing this? I've looked in every option for charts in this program and can't find an option that will give me what I want.

In case you are a bit confused (my explanations aren't too great at times), I knocked up an example of what I am after in paint:

Surely this must have a simple answer to it? It seems like such a simple thing to do, yet I can't find anywhere any help on this.

Thank you very much for your time, and any help will be GREATLY appreciated... as this is rather getting on my nerves now XD Even if it's a simple 'No, you can't do that,' I will at least sleep soundly tonight...

    Hi Fish,

Try this, delete the heading in A1, then go through the wizard again to create your chart, in the steps through that you can put the title for the x axis so that it gets back on the chart.
