Charting numbers

I am charting some numbers which correspond to pages in a book. Two of the pages are 4.14 and 4.4. I want to show that people who are on 4.14 are further along than those on 4.4. What do I need to do so that Excel interprets these numbers differently?

then you need to add leading zeros
