How to chart 2 stacked bars per day?

    I have four columns:

Ready Line, In-Process Lines, Ready Items, In-Process Items

Each has a value (0-200) for each day of the month.
This makes the data table for February 20 rows.

I want to graph the Ready and In-Process Lines stacked in one bar,
and the Ready and In-Process Items stacked in a separate bar,
so the graph will have two stacked bars per day.

Regardless of how I organize the data, or add empty columns,
    or empty rows in between,
I always end up with a one stacked bar per day with all four values.

I looked at the link PTS Blog on clustered-stacked column charts,
but could not solve my problem.

    Any help will be appreciated,

    Alex

Why did Jon's information on cluster/stacked columns not solve your problem?
    Cheers

    Andy,

Because after following the recommendations given, "Regardless of how I
organize the data, or add empty columns, or empty rows in between,
I always end up with a one stacked bar per day with all four values."

What I need is to have two stacked columns per day:
Stacked Column No. 1 consisting of: Ready Lines and In-Process Lines
Stacked Column No. 2 consisting of: Ready Items and In-Process Items

Instead, what I get is a single stacked column consisting of all four values.

Thank you for following up and for any further help.

    Alex

    Andy,
In the attached workbook I show the four data entries per day:
(order lines) In-process and Ready; (line items) In-process and Ready

Underneath the data table I show how I would like to have the stacked bars represent the data for each day; namely, In-process and Ready lines on the first stack, and in-process and ready Items on the second stack.

Thanks for your time and help,

    Alex

You need to lay your data out as done in the attached.

    Andy,

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I had added empty columns between the columns with data, and that did not work.
I had then added empty rows between the rows with data, but that did not work either - - - because, as I see now, I did not alternate them as you did.

    This works great.

    Thanks again,

    Alex
