Hi,

I have an Excel chart with the data specified below. When I put them in a chart I can add trend lines. One data i suitable for a logarithmic trend and the other one for a linear. How can I (without using a graph) get a function that would calculate the linear and exponentially forecasted value for an item in the future so I know when they will meet?

I would hope I could put a date in a cell and use Solver to find the date when the two trend lines cross.

Regards,
Mathias

ps. The Exp-data i the planned total work for a project at a specific date (the amount that has been specified so for) and Line is the amount completed at a date.)
