    Dynamic YTD Charting

I track monthly historical information and report it via the web every month in Excel Charts. I am looking for the easiest way to have my charts updated each month.

Say I have 200+ monthly records going back to 1/1/1991. How do I create a dynamic chart that shows each YEAR, YTD in comparison (i.e. this month would feature 1991, 1992, ... 2009 YTD through February, whereas next month would feature 1991, 1992, ... 2009 YTD through March).

    Thanks.

I guess this all depends on your data layout.

You maybe able to use autofilter on Month or you may have to build a pivot table.

    Can you post example workbook?

    Thanks.

I've attached both a picture and a demo file of the data.

Is there a good tutorial anywhere on using dynamic pivot tables for dynamic charting?...mouthful.

If you add a couple of fields, Month and Year, you can do it with a pivot table/chart

    Month is the Page field.
