    Graphing dynamically using Excel

    Hi guys,

I have to run off a lot of metrics graphs every week for my department. They all tend to look at a rolling 4 week average.

My question is when i go into add the new line of data every monday is there a way that the graph can automatically take the newest (last) 4 lines (as in the last 4 weeks) as the new source data while keeping the axis and titles all the same?

I'm assuming you want this to change the graph automatically upon entering a new row of data immediately following the previous rows of data?

yes but at the moment i'm going to try to flip the data to decending order and add the new line of data to the top of the sheet as opposed to the bottom. will this work as i'll be adding in to the 4 week average range then?

You can use a named range to control the data within a chart, there are plenty of examples on the forum.

You could number the rows and base the source of the graphs based on a lookup or index see attached.
