    graph rolling values

    G'Day Everyone,

I'd love to attach a spreadsheet with an example of what I am working on but i'm afraid i haven't quite been able to put what's in my head onto a spreadsheet. I'll try and explain what i'm looking for as best i can.

on one sheet i have some simple data entry. some quick sums that calculate some frequencies etc etc. i want to be able on another sheet display based on the current date, the last 12 months irrespective of year statistics. from there, i will need to graph these stats seperated by year.

has anyone seen anything remotely close to that on here that i can hopefully base a starting point on? i'm not out to rip anyone elses work off - i'm just looking for a foundation. i'm also more than happy to put in the hours myself to get exactly what i need.

    regards,

You might be able to do the things you are thinking of using dynamic named ranges.
But one things for certain the data will need to be orderly in it's layout in order to chart it and to determine where data should start and finish

Well here is a sample sheet I did, which sounds similar to what you want!

It uses Named ranges to generate tables and data for a graph, when the slider is to the right it will always display the last 12 months worth of data!

    Hope it helps!

    squiggler,

first impression is this would be FANTASTIC! i'm very excited to get to work tomorrow (oddly enough) and test this scenario out. it looks like a very good base. thank you very much for your input!
