graph with a vertical line across a certain X value?

My problem is that I wish to build a graph where I need to plot a vertical line across a certain "X" value

    Example :
    My series are X : 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
    The corresponding Y axis is : 15,10,10,0,0,-5,-10,-10

Basically , opposite to the x=6, I need to have a vertical line going from 0 to -5

Any idea on how to get this done. Please refer to the attachment for more clarity . Thanks. Chokri

Try inserting an extra value and plotting as a scatter plot.

    1 15
    2 10
    3 10
    4 0
    5 0
    6 0
    6 -5
    7 -10
    8 -10

    Thanks Martin,

Inserting an extra value and plotting as a scatter plot definitely solves the problem of generating a vertical line across a particular x value.

When using the “scatter plot”, “format data series” seems to lose the option to create a shading / pattern between the curve and the X axis.

Are you aware of a work around to get the shading on?

    Thanks again, Chokri

The only option for shading that I can think of would have been if you had an area chart. Is this what you meant?

You can still use an area chart to shade it just need to be on a separate axis which you can plot as time series.
