Bar/Gap height to match spreadsheet row height

    Hi there

I have created a 10 bar horizontal bar graph and need to align the chart in the spradsheet so that it 'fits in line' with a spreadsheet i.e. each bar corresponds to one row, and each gap corresponds to one row.

I've attached a simple outline (with the graph to show my dilemma).

How can I change the bar height, the gap between the bars AND the spreadsheet row height to make sure all 3 elements have the same height. Currently the graph gap width is 105 and the spreadsheet row height is 21.00 (28 pixels).

It is envisaged that the graph will be kept within column E.

Hope soemone out there can help me out.

    Kind regards

In order to get some alignment you will need to workout the spacing on the axis using PlotareaInside properties and number of categories. Even then the control over the rowheight is probably not accurate enough.

I have produced this code for adding textboxes to bar charts to give more control over the formatting of mimic axis labels.

    Hi Andy

    Sorry not got back sooner.

Many thanks for the reply, I checked out your Plotarea Inside approach before and wondered if that was the way I'd got to go. Looks like I'll have to get to grips with it now, or do it manually - will need to see if it's worth all the effort!

Many thanks for your help on this one.

    Kind regards
