    Plotting bar & line charts

    Hi,

I'm not sure if it's possible to plot a line chart and a bar chart in the one chart, similar to the volume & price chart as shown on this website http://blogs.stockcharts.com/chartwa...01-part-7.html

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Draw all diagrams as bars. Then selec (on diagram) data you want to make line, right click, change series chart type and select any other you like. You can also right click -> Format data series and choose Secondary axis (that will place that line on separate axis)

    Thanks for the reply zbor.

But the problem is that the line chart has date & price as the input data, but the bar chart has price range and total volume. Furthermore, the bar chart uses the vertical axis of the line chart as the common axis, but have a different horizontal axis.

Switching the series to the secondary axis will allow you to define the dates on the secondary x axis.
