    Grouping data in Pivot chart

Can pivot tables group data? I know they can group dates. I want to group the mixing time by 5 minute intervals, and the final values by maybe 10 ppm intervals. Can pivot tables do this or do I need to manipulate the data using formulas? Thanks

    You can group by 5.

Assuming pivot table with row item, Mix Time. And table data of Final Concentration.

Right click Mix Time field label and pick Group and Show detail > Group.
Here you can specify Start, End and By values.

Re: Grouping data in Pivot chart

Can this be done in the Excel 2007? It seems the only way it allows me to group is by selecting the rows I want grouped. I have tens of thousands of different time stamps I would like to group into 5 minute buckets, there no longer seems to be a group by time option. Any help?
