Create a normal chart from PivotTable

    Hi!

I would like to create a normal chart from a PivotTable. I have a pivot table called PivotTable1 and I would like to create a chart from that table's Grand Total row.

How can I do this? I have tried to switch off: Options-> Generate GetPivotData but it is not helping. I am always getting a PivotChart as a result.

    Andy Pope,

Thanks for your answer. Now I can build a normal chart from PivotTable but the problem is that when I am sorting the table differently the placement of Grand Total changes but the data in chart doesn't change accordingly (because of the absolute reference).

I tried to name the Grand Total row and use the named range as a series but it is not working out.

    Any ideas..?

Does the named range change when the PT changes?

If not then you need to change the way you are defining the named range.
You may have to resort to VBA code
