Plot 3 sets of data in scatter chart and area chart in one

I have three sets of data in the attached spreadsheet. One X (Current Offering), one Y (Strategy), and then a third (Market Presence) that I don't know what to do with as it determines how big the plotted X,Y plot points are.

I essentially would like to replicate the attached jpg. Not sure how to combine the area chart (the radial circular lines) with the other data either. I don't have that data in the sample.xlsx though. I guess I would have to make it up to form the 4 areas to the chart.

I understand that in order to also display the labels for the data I need to do it through XY Chart Labeler

I've downloaded it, but haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure I can figure it out. There's several posts here on how to do it.

I'm in Excel 2007.

Actually, I think I want to do a bubble chart. I'll post it if I can make it work. Still need guidance on the radial parts though.

Simplest way is to create the radius shading using a few 'Pie' shapes.
Group the shapes and then copy as picture, which is within the Paste button on the Home tab.

You can then use the picture as the fill for the plot area.

Thanks Andy. Great advice. Another question: How do you add lines to the labels like in the jpg? As you can see many of the bubbles are right on top of each other so it's hard to tell what's what. Having the ability to position some of the labels away from the bubble connected with a line would be good. And another problem I am having is that one of the vendor names is really long and I can't seem to be able to stretch the label box out to have it appear on one line rather than having the text wrap. I guess with the addition of a line connecting the two I could move it out far enough to not matter, but...

You can not control the wrapping of text within a datalabel, other than to add more line breaks. Reducing the font size may help, otherwise textboxes is the only option. Of course textboxes can only be linked to 'live' text content. Their position will not automatically update with new data.

Overlapping points and labels is always a problem with these style of charts and real data. I have produced many variations of these quadrent style charts and they all look great when using test data. All quadrents are occupied and none of the points or labels obscure each other. As soon as you get the live data you end up with the majority of the data points clumped in one spot!
