    Boxplot Problems?

    Hi,
I'm having a problem with my boxplots and they don't seem to show the correct position of the box itself in regard to outliers and Q1 & Q3 etc. Also I would like to narrow them down a bit if possible.

If anyone would also like to critique my other charts ie have I done them properly I would be very grateful to know.

    Cheers
    John

    Re: Boxplot Problems?

    Hi Andy,

Yes I have been there but to be honest I got lost in his explanation of how to do it at about point 3, and it just did not want to perform the way he described.

If I was nothing more than a lowly student I would just buy Jon's boxplots and take all the pain out of it, but hey I can't afford it.

Andy, you headed me in the right direction a month or so ago in regards to what to read for histograms and cumulative freq etc, and believe it or not this is the exercise that has taken me all this time to put together, so I thank-you for your help then and again now.

Are boxplots available in 2003 Excel? Are they available from anywhere else because I don't see too much when I google for them.

    Cheers

Problem solved, I have worked on it some more and have finally worked out how to do it.
I did find a very good little tutorial which showed step by step here.

Now if only I could find the problem solved button?

    Cheers
    John
