Multiple stacked columns combined with a line graph

    Hi,

I don't even know if this is possible.

    May-09 Jun-09 Jul-09 Aug-09 Sep-09 Oct-09 Nov-09 Dec-09 Jan-10 Feb-10 Mar-10 Apr-10
    Target 75 75 75 75 75 75 75 75 75 75 75 75
    % within Service Standard High Total 91.56 92.43 93.03 94.00 93.65 91.75 90.00 87.76 80.53 91.54 94.75 92.94
    % within Service Standard Low Total 56.64 65.22 67.30 58.33 63.27 57.25 46.70 67.59 66.35 74.75 73.17 65.82
    Lodgements High Total 2276 2828 2390 2867 3257 4479 2979 4957 2187 2226 2085 1677
    Low Total 138 168 154 169 153 122 139 222 100 99 82 79
    Finalisations High Total 2140 2618 2515 2540 2938 3288 4352 4604 2499 2521 2710 1777
    Low Total 173 159 159 162 149 116 184 186 102 107 93 69

I want to create a chart that is lines and stacked columns. I would like the lines to be the "% within Target" data (2 lines) on the secondary x-axis. I would then like the "Lodgements" and the "Finalisations" as 2 separate stacked columns - each of the colums to be stacked with "high" and "low" - for each month.

I have tried to do this but it stacks "Lodgements" and "Finalisations" together as one column.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance!

    R

P.S: I had to copy/paste the data due to an error in uploading.

It's not 100% clear, to me, how the % lines should work with stacked columns.

Anyway the stacked/cluster of columns can be done on the primary axis by spacing out of your data. The cluster columns have been set to 100 Overlap and 0 gap.

The lines are on the secondary axis.
The secondary x axis labels are displayed low to replace the nested primary axis labels.

    WOW! Thanks Andy!

I also am not clear about how the lines work with the columns, but I just do what the boss tells me.

    Thanks again!
