Chartsheets to PowerPoint presentation using VBA

    Hi,

I currently have a spreadsheet with 14 chart sheets located within it. I am wanting to write a VBA code that when a command button is pressed each sheet is copied to a MS PowerPoint Presentation template.

When i have tried the insert method the chart changes depending on which chartsheet is opened.

Is this sort of VBA programming able to occur?
Or is there a way to set up a PowerPoint Presentation that will auto update it's charts to be the same as the excel's workbook chartsheets?

    I hope I made sense.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have done this many times. In Excel, select the chart (single click) that you want to appear in the presentation. Go to PowerPoint to where you want it to appear and select Paste Special, select the radio button Paste as Link, and select Picture (enhanced metafile). Repeat for all your charts.

Every time you open the PPT, it will ask you if you want to update the links, and if you say "yes" then all the pictures will be updated to whatever is in the Excel file at that time. Excel does not have to be open for the update to occur.

The relative locations of the two files must stay the same. If you send the PPT file to someone else it will have versions of the charts from the last update (they do not have to have the Excel file for that). However, they will not be able to update it again, unless you send them the Excel file too, and they put them in the same relative locations where you have them on your own machine.
