    Re: Bar Chart

Use an extra 2 series plotted on the secondary axis in order to label the % section of the bar.

You would normally format the 2 extra series to have no border or fill but for easy of understanding I have just changed the bar width so you can see both sets.

The first series data labels show the Value.
The fourth series data labels show the category label, which is the % value.

    Re: Bar Chart

I'm confused, does the example I posted not look exactly like the picture you posted and asked 'is there any way to make a graph like this'?

The percentage and the lengths will be distorted when using a 100% bar.

Maybe you should explain what you expected. And if you are going to post example post a real workbook rather than image.

    Re: Bar Chart

Thanks Andy that is exactly the same as I was looking for...
May be I am wrong... I am just wondering In your graph 21% reduction in energy does not match with scale in your graph
    as in attached image

    MeenuSaini,

can you please use the forum facilities to upload files rather than uploading them to untrusted external sites, many of which are not allowed past corporate firewalls.

It's the same effort and more people will be able to see your files and contribute to the solution.

    cheers

    Re: Bar Chart

The bars look wrong because the formula is wrong.

I have adjusted the formula, which makes the first segment of the bars not tally with the labelling, which is the bars total value.

In order to display the total value you need to link the data labels to cells using the xy-labeler.
