dynamic graph

Hello,
I have created user defined and current pick up value where user can pick any option to see the trend. I have two worksheet, one is where user give his comments and add data, 2nd wiill be my data table for graph to pick up value. As my data will linked with another worksheet, so the values appears in the data will be 0 for further month of the year. which On the graph is quite distracting for user. For example the user wants oct 2006 to oct 2008, as the value linked with another sheet, so the value appears on data table will be 0, the graph atutomatically pick cell values, so can this not appears on graph (see attached file please).
Any suggestion?
another thing, i have noticed that defined data range picking extra cell as you can see in the attached file
