    Question Hide Secondary % Drop Off?

    Hi,

    I have a line chat that represents percentage of good parts on the secondary Y axis represented over a quarterly or annual basis.

    Is there a way to "hide" the drop off if the week or month has not occurred yet, without reducing or modifying its range? If so, how?

    Thanks

    Re: Hide Secondary % Drop Off?

    Hello,

    If the cells are empty, you can set the chart to show empty cells as gaps instead of zeros.
    If the empty cells contain formulas, you can change the formula to display NA() instead of ""

    Please update your profile to reflect your current Excel version. This will help with pointing you to the commands/steps to perform.

    cheers

    Re: Hide Secondary % Drop Off?

    Hi teylyn,

    Thanks for the feedback. For this particular project, I'm using Excel 2003, but also have similar applications in Excel 2007.

    In this example, I'm running a cumulative % of good parts, using weeks as a running metrics. I'm currently using the following formula

    =IF(E24>TODAY(),"",SUM($P$21:P24)/SUM($P$21:$P$72))

    At some point, it levels off at 100%. I am hiding the rows in my metrics table of weeks that haven't occurred yet, which is where I see the "drop off".

    How would I modify my formula or chart to "hide" this drop off in a Pareto chart?

    Thanks

    Did you read my previous post about exchanging "" for NA()?? Did you apply it?
