charting unequal series

I'm seeking advice about displaying two (or more) series with unequal frequencies.

Series A has 1,631 data points, beginning 2/4/1980 and ending 5/2/2011. The data interval is weekly and new data are added weekly. Data are in columns.

Series B has 7,915 data points, beginning 1/2/1980 and ending 5/13/2011. The data interval is daily and new data are added daily. Data are in columns.

Separate excel workbooks house Series A and Series B. Any guidance about how to plot these two series in a line chart would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I'd be inclined to first copy the two series into a single workbook. Then lets say your Series B is in cells A1:B7915 with the dates in column A and values in column B

With your Series A in say E1:F1631, dates in E and values in F enter the following formula in C1
