Dynamic Chart with Drop-Down Menu

Hey all!

New member here, but I've ducked in before to read a few threads for advice. Unfortunately I've just run into a much more complex problem that feels beyond me. Any help would be greatly appreciated:

Currently I'm trying to get a chart where I can choose which input goes into it with a dropdown menu. I know how to get it to work with one through this thread - http://www.excelforum.com/excel-char...down-list.html. But I have no idea how to make it so the chart will accept multiple inputs through dropdown menus. Also, it would be preferable if the legend wouldn't show inactive dropdown menus.

I tried an alternative way of having dropdown menus for each possibility, and then just charting the entire box (so as many lines could be plotted onto the graph as wanted). Unfortunately, this also forced the legend to display a huge number of lines regardless of whether they were active, which was unsightly (Excel enclosed).

Is there a way to do what I'm looking for? I usually can figure out how to implement excel functions after enough reading, but I feel no closer to completing this than I did hours ago. Thanks for any help!
