Change Column Colour Based on Condition

I have a need to show columns in a bar chart different colours based on the value that appears in a cell. If the value is <50% the colour should be red, if the value is >=50% and <80% colour is yellow, >=80% = green. The table below shows the data that is updated monthly (I think I have also attached a snip of the graph).

If possible I would also like to see a difference between actual and forecast. I currently colour manually and for the forecast retain the same colour but add a pattern.

    Any help gladly received.

    Thanks

Re: Change Column Colour Based on Condition

I may have a solution for this. You can set colours of you charts by using this simple VBA macro:

See my blog post on http://excel4everything.blogspot.fi/...to-colour.html and check the video about this.

Unfortunately this solution doesn't work if you colorise your chart source cells using Excel's Conditional Formatting. Maybe someone can give us a hint how to format cells according to Conditional Formatted cells.

    Hope this helps.
