I’ve an Excel document with different information from a survey. I want to create a pie chart graph over location (countries).

Is there anyway Excel can “group” all the distinct values together and then display it relative to each other. Say that there are 100 rows, with five different countries: America, United Kingdom, France, China and Germany. 30 rows have America, 20 have United Kingdom, 10 have France, 30 have China and 10 have Germany. Then I want the pie chart to display and represent that selection in relation to each other.

I’ve tried to only select the column “location” but it does not display anything – not anything like the thing I want anyway. I know I can “count” all the distinct values but I would like to get Excel to do it automatically because I’m going to create other pie charts with same issue.

Thank you
Sincere
