After receiving much excellent help from scottylad2 on dynamic ranges, I'd like to gain a more simple understanding of charting with dynamic ranges.
I've attached a worksheet with simple, alternating columns of date and data. I'd like to assign the data as a dynamic range, and create a simple line chart.
In other words, B2:B200 on the sheet should be a dynamic range, with a corresponding chart to display corresponding months.
My first question is simply how to create the dynamic chart in general. I'd hope to make a dynamic line chart for Apples/months, another for Oranges/months, and another for Squid/months. When new data is added to the B, D, or F column, it should appear in the corresponding chart.
My second question is, do I need to create a separate dynamic range for months to use with the chart, or can I ask it to populate the axis with the data in the cell corresponding to the data; i.e. If A1 is Jan, and B1 is 5342, do I need to create a dynamic range for both A and B in order to create a dynamic chart?
Thank you to anyone who can offer their expertise!
