    2007 Chart Legend problem

When creating a chart in 2007, and you add a legend to the chart by default, if there are numerous entries (I have 14 series to plot), It only adds 6 entries to the legend!!!!!

How do I get the legend to refer to all the series labels rather than the six it chooses?

If I understood you properly You should delete legend an then make new (You will achieve all your series in the legend)

Not really sure what you mean tom. For me when I delete the legend and the put a new one on it defaults to 6 entries.

    Have you tried your solution?

Thanks, pike but it's really related to manipulation of the legend using vba and finding out the correct property/method in the 07 object model. Can we move back please?

It resizes without adding. you have to take off the autoscale and then resize in 03.

07 is a different beast entirely...

    Re: 2007 Chart Legend problem

I just created a chart with 14 legend entries. The newly added legend displayed 10 items.
After resizing the legend box, by making it wider, I saw all 14 entries.

Post an example of your chart.

Think its related to the length of the series labels (I think!)

Positioned along the bottom resized to width of chart and reduce the font size by 2 points and you will see all items. Of course this then reduces the area available for the plot area and the chart itself.

You could try swapping the data and have Years as the series.

    Re: 2007 Chart Legend problem

Unfortunately swapping the data and years, makes the graph even harder 'to read' than it currently is!

Susbsequently, I need to see as much of the plot as possible.

Think the only way I'm going to do it is by manipulating the length of the series text to shorten it and reduce font slightly and consequently force the legend to populate fully.
