multiple series scatter plot graph

hi all,
i'm trying to produce a graph from some data like these:


MONTH X Y
Jan 3 2
Feb 1 4
Mar 6 9
Apr 2 8
May 5 1
Jun 0 3

I would like that tha x and y values of each point are taken from the corrisponding columns, and each point had a close label with the month name...
Can someone suggest me how to reach this goal without a macro or inserting each value by hand?

You appear to have ruled out both available options. I would use Rob Bovey's free XY labeller addin.
