New series added to charts are invisible!!

    Hi all,
I create pretty complex maps with Excel charts and when I updated to 2010 to fix a problem in 2007 it created a whole new set of problems. The one that I am having the most dificulty with is when I try to add a new series to an existing chart the line(s) do not show up on the chart. I was able to find one by hovering where I thought it might be and the series name popped up. I was able to click on it and then edit it. When I did edit it the setting was for "No line" and a line width of null (no number in the window). Anyone have a clue on how to change this default or how to get the lines to appear? This is driving me nuts. Thanks for looking.

    Hi Russell,

Would you be able to upload the workbook containing that char?

Add code to format the new series to have a specific weight, line style and be visible.
As to why the default is not visible impossible to say without seeing original file and code.
    Cheers
