    Macro to arrange generated charts.

    Hi everyone,
Was just wondering if there was a way to arrange charts which have been generated, so that they can be easily converted into a chartbook. I've generated around 300 charts. By arrange I mean spatially, so just an equal gap between each chart, because at the moment they are lying on top of oneanother.

-Thanks in advance for any help!

I think there are only two choices for this.

    1. Turn charts into there own sheet.

    OR

    2. Size and Position them manually(on the sheet they are on).

You might consider using a program like AutoHotKeys for this too. It can automate the click and dragging of the mouse.

NOTE: 100 charts? You have to have 100 charts? Is that a bit too much?

    Hi Dennis,
    thanks for the reply!

I have around 300 charts yes, and I'm afraid they're all necessary - and there is possibility that the number of charts could increase over time. Option 2 is what I was considering - but this would mean the suggested process would have to be done on a weekly basis, which I'm afraid I don't have time to do.

The Problem with option 1 is that these charts are arranged so that 3 can fit onto a page... for comparison purposes.

I had an idea in which Microsoft Word would be used? So the charts would be generated, and then exported to Word? I'm not sure if that would make it easier.

Is there any additional code which could be used to act as a positioning tool? My code already adjusts the size of the chart.

    -Thanks.

That's the way we do it. Copy each chart and paste them as links to the Word document then all you need to do is update the charts in Excel then update the links in the Word doc.

Is there anyway one could do that using vba? As it would take a while to do that for 300 odd charts.
