    Bar Chart Formatting Question

I'm trying to create a chart that will show multiple business units financial results over several years. I've basically achieved this, but my question is on how to format the chart so that the bars within a year are closer together so as to visually distinguish between years.

I've attached the file I've been playing with.

    Thanks!

I just put in a blank column between your years (first I had to unmerge those year cells so that I could move them). Then on the top row of the blank columns, where the year normally goes, I just typed a space character. Does that work for you?

    Re: Bar Chart Formatting Question

Consider plotting the information for each unit/item by year as a line chart.

That way it will be easier to see how each series is doing compared to the others. Currently this is very difficult to do in a stacked column chart.

Thanks that's not a bad idea. While I'd like to have the bars with little to no space between them, this will suffice. Thanks for the input!
