Selecting a limited number of series in a chart

    Hi everyone,

I have created a chart with 3 different series ("Calls made", "Calls received" and "Complaints") and would like to create tick boxes on the side of the chart which would allow me to select only 1 or 2 of these series at a time.

For example, if I tick "Calls made" and "Calls received" but untick "Complaints", the chart would only display "Calls made" and "Calls received".

I have tried recording a macro to take away the data, but it didn't quite work as expected and would continue deleting the data for all other series.

Any suggestions on how I can select only 1 or 2 series without having to adjust the range each time?

I have included an attached example (without working tick boxes) if that helps.

    Thanks,

    David

hi david, see if this is sufficient for you. if you totally don't want to see the legend after a field's deselected, you can try using OFFSET formulas & name your range.

    Hi benishiryo,

Thanks for your reply, that works really well. I didn't realise that you could link tick boxes to a cell so that's really handy. I think the setup you have used will be ok for the legend, but I will try using an offset formula just to test how that goes.

    Thanks again!
