bar charts - bars look like thin lines and cannot make thicker;

I make charts all the time. The past week, my bar charts have displayed as thin lines. single bar and clustered. adjusting series overlap and gap width has not effect. this problem occurs when I need to chart about 10 or more bars.

Assuming x axis has dates. Set axis to be Text rather than dates.
