    CountIFS VS. Pivot Table

    Good Morning,

I need help regarding achieving the same results from a table using CountIFS into a Pivot Table.

Let's say our company sends out surveys to clients regarding 2 similar products; Brand A & B.

Now customers are asked Questions A to Question J; for each question they have to rate Brand A and Brand B from a scale of 1 to 7 with 7 as the highest.

Now how do I achieve the same results using a Pivot Table?

    Hi grandevouz,

    Welcome to the forum.
See the pivot table where I have done this for question A and you can similarly drag the other questions as well.

Thanks benishiryo! I was trying to achieve it without re-arranging the raw data as much as possible since it's more prone to error when pasting and transposing is involved. Moreover, I was thinking of getting it using 1 pivot table.

However, I guess what I wanted to happen was just too much. I think this is the closest solution I have seen and you made me feel better when I was feeling "weak" on pivot table. LOL

    Thanks a lot! You're a lifesaver.

Hey Dili, that was how I was actually doing it. Sad thing is it gets crazy when I try to add more questions as everything is dependeng on "Question A" as row label which affects the table as we add more "count" of questions under "value".

    Appreciate the help!

    Hi grandevouz,

when I try to add more questions as everything is dependeng on "Question A" as row label
    I know ..
You can have two columns for each question i.e, Question A would have two columns in pivot
Question A, Count of question A... similarly for others

and then you can hide Question A and show only Count columns
