Plotting multiple series as a single dataset

    Hello,
I have a month of temperature readings from a silo that is emptied every day or two. I need to be able to plot the recorded temperatures as as single series with gaps included to show when the silo was emptied; attached is an image of what I am hoping for. I did not think that this would be very difficult, but I cannot find a way to switch the charts series from a single row to taking from multiple rows.

Here is a minor example of my data that I am using (Excel 2010):

    7/14/2012 35.9
    7/15/2012 33.5 33.7 34.0
    7/16/2012 33.8 33.7
    7/17/2012 35.5
    7/18/2012 32.5 33.2

The gaps in the temp recordings are when the silo was empty

I did some searching around and was finally able to come up with a response to this problem, however I cannot figure out how to get the formula to cover all 4 columns throughout the entire series. The post is here if this would help:

The answer is exactly what I am looking for, if it would help, I have attached the file that I am working on

Re: Plotting multiple series as a single dataset

I was able to bring in all the data point by selecting each individual row by defining a new range (ctrl+F3), then selecting each individual row by separating them with a comma. I now have all the data in like I wanted, but cannot get the dates to display along the x-axis. When the dates are included, the graph does not display properly.

    Any ideas? Please?
