    Embedded Plots

I am new to this site, so this question has probably already been discussed, but perhaps someone could answer this question: When embedding a data plot within the worksheet tab is there some way to "disconnect" the sizing of the plot from the worksheet. For example, currently, if I change column width of a column that "contains" the plot area the physical dimensions of the plot change or "stretch" corresponding to the colunm width change. This can be annoying, but I do want to maintain the "Connection" functionally of the data calculations to that contained in the plot.

    Any ideas would be helpful.

Right click chart and pick Format Chart Area.
On the properties tab set option Don't move or size with cells

Andy, Thanks for the response, however, there is no properties tab contained within the pop up box when I right click on Format Chart Area.

    Re: Embedded Plots

So your are not using xl2003 as your profile states, which is why there is confusion.

For xl2007 select the chart. Click Format on the chart contextual tabs in the ribbon.
In the Size group click the dialog launcher (arrow bottom right hand corner). Now you should see the Format dialog > Properties tab,
