Unhappy Help querying data from Access 2010

First, let me briefly explain how our database is set up.

We have an asset data base to track the assets in our company.

Headers such as, Location, User, Serial Number etc ... on tbl_assets

We store the location on a seperate table tbl_location, the information is pulled in, in a drop down list.

Now, the issue I am having is, when I try to import the data into excel, everyrhing is fine, except the location field shows up as the primary ID, not the text field.

Any idea why this is happening, and how I can get excel to import the correct data?

    Thanks.

The query used to build this table is not joining to the location reference table...that's all.
Just modify the query to link to that table and pull in the Location reference instead of the ID.
Do you have the SQL for the query ?
