Pivot Table Row Filter AND Value Filter?

I'm trying to filter a pivot table on both rows and values. But everytime I try and do this only one will stick.

    Here's an example:
    Rows - US States
Values - # of National Parks

    Row Filter = AL,AK,AR,CA,CO,FL,GA,HI,ID,IL,IN,IA,KS,TX,UT,VT,WA,WV,WI,WY
    Values Filter > 1

When I add the row filter only the 20 states return. Then I add the value filter but there are other states brought back since they too have more than 1 National Park which implies to me that the row filter is no longer used.

Any ideas on how to make both of these filters work at the same time?

    Hi Zaber76,

    Welcome to the forum.

Can you share the sample workbook? Thanks.

Please see the attached. Currently the state filter is set as I mentioned in my first post. Thanks for looking.

Right click on one of the state names. Then click Filter and choose Value Filters. In the first dropdown, select "Count of Park". In the second dropdown, choose "is greater than". In the third field type "0". Click OK.
When you do this, you'll notice that the original filter on the states is removed and you now see all states with a national park.

Group the states you have displayed (Select them all, right-click and Group - this will create an additional field) and filter the new field for the group you have. You can now apply a value filter to the original state field.
Alternatively you can use an autofilter for the value filter. Select C1 then Shift+click B23, and now apply an autofilter. You can now filter column B's values. Note you'll need to redo the filter if you refresh the pivot table.
