Hi experts. I've attached a file where I made a dynamic chart using Active X check boxes to allow the user to select and deselect data they'd like to see from the 6 sets of metrics (Sheet 1). The goal was to overlay Open Orders, History and Demand with our forecast from 1, 2 and 3 months ago to quickly gauge our accuracy. This works great but I've now been tasked with adding another layer to this by allowing the user to drill down into this chart by selecting a product type, rather than just the totals.
Typically I'd think a pivot chart would be the answer to allow a user to drill down and dissect data of their choosing but I think that's not an option if I want to maintain two chart types with my line graph being the optional forecasts. I'm hardly an expert as the attached is my first chart of this type so I was hoping to get input on conceptualizing a solution that would allow a drill down into our product types or whether a pivot chart could work as a solution. Ideally a data validation box allowing the user to select any number of product types would be best, but as far as I know that type of selection option is specific to pivots.
Thanks in advance,
Joe
