API/Service to interact ith PowerPivot excel 2010

1. Is there any Java API to interact with PowerPivot excel 2010?
2. Any web service / .net api to the same?
3. Once we save the imported data, how it gets embedded in PowerPivot?
4. Is there any way to understand the relation and fetch the PowerPivot data through any API?

2 see 1
3 as a vertipaq stored cube

Thanks for the information.

Once the PowerPivot excel is published in SharePoint, is there any web service available to interact with the data? What about PowerPivot web service?

Can we publish PowerPivot excel as a service in SharePoint so that a wsdl will be published in sharepoint and Using my client application we can call those?

I am trying to find out how to create a SSAS service endpoint / Webservice endpoint in SharePoint which hosts and can interact with PowerPivot embedded data. Please guide.
